Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, praised a Muslim girl for developing an app at the age of 8.
At just 8 years old, an Indian girl living in Dubai recently developed iOS apps for iPhone, and Apple CEO Tim Cook congratulated her on this achievement.
In her message to Cook, Hanna delineated in detail how she had been learning to code since age five, and how she was born and raised in the UAE. Hanna, who is currently nine years old, almost avoided using third-party pre-made codes, libraries, or courses in her app.
Hanna encouraged Cook to test out the app after sharing its YouTube link, as she herself wrote over 10,000 lines of code.
In addition to stating why she composed the email and sent it to Apple CEO to convince her parents that she had accomplished something remarkable and to inform the company’s leader how enthusiastic she is about technology, Hanna explained her motivation for doing so.
Immediately after Hanna sent Cook an email, Apple’s CEO replied. Cook congratulated Hanna on her impressive achievement at a young age, as well as encouraging Hanna to continue to perform extraordinary things in the future.
Muhammad Rafeeq, Hanna’s father, said he was pleased because he considered the technology leader’s answer to verify that Hanna was the world’s youngest developer.
The father revealed that Hanna mastered coding from her elder sister Leena Fathima, who was schooled at home with her. The two siblings initially learned coding when their mother began studying coding.
The sisters hope to use coding languages such as HTML, CSS, C, C++, Swift, and SwiftUI to change the world in their own way. They plan to offer free coding classes to orphans through a foundation named after them.
